3 Ways to Stay Active During a Door County Summer

Summer is Door County’s peak season, and that means there’s no shortage of ways to get outside and stay active. From woods and water to fairways and byways, the area boasts all kinds of environments and terrains. Here are three ways to get up that heart rate while enjoying spectacular views:

  • Run, Bike, or Hike. As the rainy and muddy conditions of spring start to clear away, Door County’s trails and parks open up to runners, bikers, and hikers. Summers also bring around many organized races and rides that can be done competitively or just for fun.

  • Golf Your Heart Out. Are nine golf courses enough for you? Try an entry-level short course, a picturesque 18 holes in a state park, or hit the links along the bluffs of Egg Harbor at one of the best golf courses in Wisconsin.

  • Take to the Water. Warmer weather means more temperate lakes and waterways, so grab your gear and get out onto the water for some kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, parasailing, tubing, boating and sailing, jet skiing, or fishing.
