Door County’s summer season picks up in early May, when stores and restaurants bring back their peak season hours and seasonal staff migrates back to the region. From May through October, weekends are flooded with celebrations and festivals and the events calendar is jammed with tours, live music, tastings, and gallery openings nightly.

As the rainy and muddy conditions of spring start to clear away, Door County’s trails open up in its five state parks.
Door County summers also bring around many organized races, rides, and paddles to get competitive in or just do for fun. These events offer a great way to see the peninsula.
