The Door Community Auditorium stage has been graced by the likes of Johnny Cash, Ray Charles, Jeff Tweedy, Willie Nelson, Joan Baez, and many more iconic musicians.
1. Go for a shopping stroll. In Fish Creek, Door County’s most walkable community, you’ll find dozens of stores, galleries, and eateries in just a couple of blocks.
2. Hit the trail. The Sunset Trail in Peninsula State Park is great for running, walking, or biking, with beautiful vistas along the path that’s easily accessible at the park entrance.
3. See a star. Yes, you’ll see a lot of them in the night sky, but you can catch big names at the Door Community Auditorium. Recent acts have included Mavis Staples, Melissa Etheridge, The Lumineers, Indigo Girls, Ira Glass, Charlie Daniels, Justin Townes Earl, and Ben Folds.
4. Taste the fruits of our labor at one of the county’s multi-generational orchards by sampling wine and cherry products.
5. Rent a boat at the marina and see the village and Peninsula State Park from its most majestic vantage point: the water.
6. Soak up the sun. Hang in the middle of town at the Fish Creek Beach, or make your way into the park to visit the party at Nicolet Bay, named one of the top beaches in America.
