Before you come enjoy the unbelievable lake and park views on the miles of Door County snowmobile and snowshoe trails, be sure to check the winter snow report. With conditions changing daily, it’s important to know what to expect so you can pack well, travel well and live life well.
About a foot of wet heavy snow fell on most of the county December 1st. Much of that has melted and settled. None of the ski trails are groomed, and only some of the trails at Peninsula State park have been packed. Conditions on those trails are poor. Newport State Park reports trails in fair condition with a lot of debris. Skiing is not recommended at Potawatomi State Park or Whitefish Dunes State Park.
