Celebrate the winter season during Sturgeon Bay's community-wide Fire & Ice Festival presented by Destination Sturgeon Bay and Stone Harbor Resort, February 14-15. The weekend begins with a luminary-lit hike at Crossroads at Big Creek Nature Preserve on Friday, February 14 from 5:30 - 7pm. Saturday, stroll around town to witness novice and professional carvers turn blocks of snow and ice into works of art beginning at 9am! Carvers of all ages and skill levels will compete for cash prizes and the People's Choice Award. There will also be free Door County Trolley rides with multiple stops at your favorite shops in downtown Sturgeon Bay. Warm up at Bay Shore Outfitters with marshmallow roastings on the patio and hot chocolate. Stop by Third Avenue PlayWorks for an Indoor Winter Market where you'll find an array of products including crafts, jewelry, knit clothing, food, and more! Hike, snowshoe, cross-country ski, or simply explore on Saturday at Potawatomi State Park during Winter Trails Day presented by The Friends of Potawatomi State Park.?
