Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • For the Filling:
  • 2lbs. honey crisp apples, sliced
  • 1/3lb. unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • For the Streusel Topping:
  • 2 cups rolled oats (do not use quick oats)
  • 1/3lb. unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Combine apples, unsalted butter, brown sugar and cinnamon. Mix well. Place ingredients in an ovenproof dish and bake at 350° F for 15–20 minutes or until apples are tender but not mushy.
  2. Place rolled oats, unsalted butter, pecans, brown sugar and flour in a bowl and mix well.
