Winter Outerwear Donation Drive Helps Door County Bundle Up
Door County’s tourism industry is coming together to help bundle up the community. Locations throughout Door County are collecting new or gently used coats, hats, mittens, and snow pants. The campaign runs throughout the month of December. All items donated locally will stay in Door County and be distributed throughout the county.
The collection is part of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism’s “Big Bundle Up” donation campaign that celebrates its 11th year in 2021. Door County has participated in the campaign since its inception.
Eight different tourism organizations in Door County have committed to participate in this year’s “Big Bundle Up” outerwear drive. Those organizations include Destination Door County, Baileys Harbor Community Association, Destination Sturgeon Bay, Door County North, Egg Harbor Business Association, Ephraim Business Council, Fish Creek Civic Association, and Sister Bay Advancement Association.
A container will be located at participating locations for donors to drop off new or gently used outerwear. When the drive concludes, items will be distributed back to Door County residents through local charity partners.
