Door County will be featured on the Travel Channel’s irresistible series, “Bizarre Foods: Delicious Destinations,” in a new episode scheduled to premier on Tuesday, August 28 at 8:30 p.m. CST.

The series, hosted by James Beard Award-winning chef and culinary explorer Andrew Zimmern, highlights the not-to-be-missed food that defines a location.

The upcoming half-hour episode will scope out the down-to-earth culinary traditions of scenic Door County. From fresh fish caught in Lake Michigan to locally grown produce that defines Door County’s Nordic-influenced cuisine.

Film crews were in Door County in July of 2017 capturing footage that will be used in the episode scheduled to air next week.
