Update for summer 2019: You now can go through VRBO to rent our cottage and use a credit card. You can also rent for two and pay a per night charge for each additional person per night at the end of your stay. Our bath and 1/2 two story cottage has a queen bed upstairs and two double beds and a hide-a-bed downstairs. Two 'Dish Network' HDTVs, AC, and high rise toilets will make you feel right at home. You're a short walk from downtown, boat dock, beaches, and the Door County Trolly. And a short drive to the Peninsula Players,Birch Creek, and three golf courses. We're a non-smoking, no pet, State Licensed rental and proud member of the Egg Harbor Business Association, #5 on their mapRates

Memories of growing up on a farm in Door County were too cherished not to share. So, beginning in '83 we've spent summers raising a Dutch colonial barn, rebuilding a windmill, and renovating our property to recapture rural Door County traditions. We offer an upscale, modern cottage for a large family or to be shared by couples.
Visit in spring and you'll enjoy fresh asparagus from our fields, apple and cherry blossoms, and a chance to welcome the martins to their house south of the barn. Summer offers singing birds in the morning, wild flowers during the day, and country quiet at night. Fall brings leaves, festivals, and farm markets. In winter, we're closed to rest, rebuild, and ready our farmette for your next visit.

THE LOCATION
Our property is located just north of Egg Harbor on the quiet side road, Church Street, just off Highway 42.
You'll enjoy the country atmosphere because on over two acres we've built a traditional Dutch colonial barn, erected a full size windmill, and constructed over 300 feet of stone fence. Though the barn is not included in your rental, it, the windmill, stone fences, and assorted farm machinery all help create a rural "farm-like" atmosphere.
You'll be within walking distance of restaurants, churches, gift shops, ice cream parlors, night clubs, and dining, yet far enough away to avoid the public if you just want to escape.
You'll be less than two miles from beaches, docks, golf courses and horseback riding, and near camping, the Peninsula Players, Birch Creek Music Center, and less than ten minutes from Fish Creek, Bailey's Harbor, Peninsula Park, and the Heritage Ensemble.
Some of the BEST FISHING in the county is within walking distance.
THE COTTAGE
Our two story cottage offers a comfortable second floor living room, kitchen that's fully equipped, full bath with tub and shower, and master bedroom with a queen bed. A large deck overlooks country fields. Both inside circular and outside deck stairs descend to the ground level where you'll find open space, two double beds, a small library with games, a half bath, and under the deck, an "ole fashion" sitting porch. Hide-a-beds will accommodate your guests. For comfort and convenience, we offer electric heat, air conditioning, telephone and answering machine, microwave, two TVs, a stereo with CD player, VCR and movies, an outdoor grill, picnic table, and more.
WEEKLY RATES (Saturday in/out)
Bring your own towels and we'll provide all other linens.
The weekly rate is $650 for two plus $50 for each additional person. Towels can be provided for an additional $25 per week.
The "overnight" guest charge is $25 (per guest, per night).
Daily Rates (less than a week)
$100 for two plus $25 for each additional person. All linens and towels are included.

We're just a cell phone call away if you need us! We grew up in Door County so we have many relatives in the area to help you learn where the locals hang out and where to get the best deals. For example, stop at Christine's in Egg Harbor to meet my sister, see the latest fashions and ask her opinion of that to do while in the area.

Directions
To find our cottage, follow Highway # 42 through Egg Harbor, turn right on E then an immediate left on Church Street. Watch for our red barn and windmill on your right (Fire # 7960). If you miss E, turn right on Church Street just north of Harbor Hardware.
