
Accessibility Grant Reimbursement Application
Destination Door County is dedicated to making our community more accessible and welcoming for all visitors and residents. The Accessibility Grant Reimbursement program provides financial support to help organizations in Door County improve accessibility across their facilities, services, and communications.
Eligibility
- Businesses, Nonprofits, and Local Governments
- Must be open to the public and located in Door County, WI
- Short-term rentals must maintain a minimum of 30 nights annually in rentals
- Projects must have been completed in 2024 or later
- Maximum award: $1,000 per project
Program Details and Application
- The program covers a variety of accessibility improvements including: access audits, design and planning of accessibility improvements across the travel journey, improved accessibility of websites, marketing and communications materials, expansion of disability-related services, purchase of accessible vehicles, ASL interpreters, captioning, and physical modifications such as ramps, grab bars, and lifts
- Awards are capped at the total project cost—if your expenses were lower than anticipated, your award will be adjusted accordingly
- Applications will be processed online only and on a first-come, first-served basis
