Door County Kinetic Arts Festival

Door Kinetic Arts, Inc. nurtures and inspires kinetic and performing artists by gathering them at the Door Kinetic Arts Festival to collaborate, develop projects, present work, and exchange ideas in the process of developing new work in the exceptionally beautiful and serene atmosphere maintained at Björklunden. The Door Kinetic Arts Festival inspires and educates Door County residents and visitors through peeks behind the scenes at the creative process in workshops, performances, and artist discussions.

The week-long festival provides Door County residents and visitors a peek at the creative process through film screenings, staged readings, performed works in progress, workshops, and carefully curated cocktails.

What’s new for the 10th Anniversary:

• DKAF is joining forces with Milwaukee Repertory Theater to support the development of The Northeast Corner, a new musical by Door County songwriter Katie Dahl.
• Jennifer Vosters will perform her solo show Songs Without Words ahead of its upcoming run at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre.
• Festival pass-holders get access to The Call List at Third Avenue PlayWorks (developed at DKAF 3 years ago), plus expanded culinary programming featuring cocktail historian Robert Simonson and chef Ryan Ibsen at Cupola Café.

These new developments reflect DKAF’s decade-long mission to serve as an incubator for ambitious new work while building strong pipelines with top-tier Wisconsin theaters.
