The Briar Club Readers Theater

Rogue Theater is delighted to perform this dramatic reading based on the book, "The Briar Club” by Kate Quinn. This readers theater adaptation is written and directed by Lola DeVillers. The reading sets the stage for this historical mystery novel about women forming friendships in a 1950s Washington D.C. boarding house amid McCarthy-era paranoia. The book follows diverse women at Briarwood House as they bond through shared dinners, only to face a murder mystery that uncovers hidden secrets and explores themes of race, class, and changing gender roles during the Cold War.
