3 Ways to Stay Active in Summer

Summer is peak season, which means there’s no shortage of ways to get outside and stay active. From woods and water to fairways and byways, the area boasts all kinds of environments and terrains for getting up your heart rate while taking in spectacular views:

  1. Run, Bike, or Hike: As the rain and mud of spring yield to summer's fairer conditions, Door County’s trails, parks, and organized races open up to bikers, runners, and hikers.

  2. Golf Your Heart Out: Are nine golf courses enough for you? Try an entry-level short course, a picturesque 18 holes in a state park, or hit the links along the bluffs of Egg Harbor at one of the best golf courses in Wisconsin.

  3. Take to the Water: Warmer weather means more temperate lakes and waterways, so grab your gear and get ready for some kayaking, paddle boarding, parasailing, tubing, boating, jet skiing, fishing, and other water activities. Join a guided tour or set sail from a marina or boat launch.
