Coffeehouse Concert: Cool Bay Jazz with Opening Set by Miles Richmond, Luke McCormack, and Blake Ouradnik

At 7 p.m., also in the DCA lobby, Cool Bay Jazz will perform a Coffeehouse Concert. These concerts show off the cozy intimacy of the DCA lobby and feature some of the best musical talent Door County has to offer.

This week’s ensemble, Cool Bay Jazz, features pianist Tim Fox, singer Deirdre Fellner, bassist Dennis Keith Johnson, drummer Bill Knipfer, and guitarist John Lewis, all of whom had careers in music in cities around the country and now all live in Door County. ?Their approach is eclectic, a big umbrella under which styles from various decades and musical cultures are fair game.?With an extensive and constantly expanding repertoire, CBJ has been attracting audiences curious to discover what musical delights may be heard on any given night.?

As part of this year’s Coffeehouse Concert series, each show will feature a Door County student opening act. On January 10, Jazz trio Miles Richmond, Luke McCormack, and Blake Ouradnik (all Gibraltar students) will open.

All Coffeehouse Concerts take place at 7:00 p.m. in the DCA Fireside lobby. Tickets are $20 each and advance reservations are strongly suggested. Coffee and bakery will be available for purchase from Happy Coffee, also the sponsor of the Coffeehouse series.

DCA is located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in person, on the phone at (920) 868-2728, or online at www.dcauditorium.org.
