Winter Events in February and March
Winter has settled in on the county. There are plenty of opportunities to get outside and enjoy the crisp winter air, while enjoying the company of the community. If the weather is too cold for you, there are also fun indoor activities suitable for families of all ages.
Fish Creek Winter Festival

Candlelight Ski/Hike
Peninsula State Park
Feb. 2
Ski or hike a one-mile loop with hundreds of lit candles lining the trail. After enjoying the candle-lined trails, warm up by the bonfire and partake in refreshments at the warming shelter. No pets allowed. Weather permitting. Free. Park vehicle sticker required.

Groundhog Day Parade
Ellison Bay
Feb. 2
Build a float, decorate your car, walk your dog, or just cheer from the sidelines at this community parade. Parade participants should gather at Nicolet Bank. After the parade enjoy some “Groundhog Stew” at the Mink River Basin.
Miss Door County Pageant
Southern Door Auditorium, Brussels
Feb. 2
Featuring women from the Door County area. A panel of judges will decide who will be crowned Miss Door County and Miss Door County Outstanding Teen.
Fashion Forward
Donald & Carol Kress Pavilion, Egg Harbor
Feb. 2
A fashion show with the theme of female empowerment featuring six area designers and stylists and 40 area models. With heavy hors d'oeuvres and beverages from Trixie's, and pop up shops by The Lightbox and Prettywar Design. Tickets are available on eventbrite.com. $25/ticket.
Door County Reads Kickoff Celebration

Fruit Loop Fun Run

This scenic half-mile fun run/walk through downtown Fish Creek will begin and end at the tent in Clark Park. Don’t miss the post-race breakfast of Fruit Loops! Part of the Fish Creek Winter Festival activities.
Door County Pond Hockey Tournament
Kangaroo Lake, Baileys Harbor
Feb. 9
Sixty teams compete on Kangaroo Lake for the coveted Stanley Thermos. The tournament features a warming tent, food and beverages, and an open rink on the ice for those looking to join the players on the ice. For more information and to register visit www.doorcountypondhockey.com.

Indoor Winter Race Series

Each race features a 10km pre-set course. Bicycles will be mounted to Cycleops M2 smart trainers with resistance synced to PerfPro Studio course route data to simulate an outdoor riding experience.
