Genuine American Group Tour Itinerary

Day 1

10:00 AM  Start the day out with a guided kayak tour with Lakeshore Adventures. Explore over a dozen shipwrecks in their clear-bottom kayaks. For the extra adventurous, catch glimpses of Cana Island Lighthouse and Moonlight Bay while zip-lining through a forest canopy at Lakeshore Adventures Zip Line Tours.

12:00 PM  Travel north to Fish Creek on Hwy 42 for lunch at Juniper’s Gin Joint. Originally established in 1945 and formally known as the C & C Supper Club, the building has undergone remodeling to include a European style courtyard, small retail area, spacious outdoor dining, and the Barrel Room, which features wine, olive oil, and other goods. Choose from a delicious selection of sandwiches, pastas, and house specialties.

1:30 PM  Take a guided tour of the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, which stands overlooking the bay of Green Bay on the rocky shore in Peninsula State Park. Built in 1868 and automated in 1926, this historic lighthouse once played a crucial role in navigating ships through the treacherous east channel on the journey to Green Bay. 

2:30 PM  Step back in time over 150 years at the Anderson Store in Ephraim. Established in 1858 by Aslag Anderson, the store and nearby dock were once the hub of village activity in this quaint community. Owned and operated by the Anderson family until 1966 when it was purchased by the Village of Ephraim, the store remains in its original location as part of the Ephraim Historical Foundation. Visitors today revel in its charming nostalgia complete with a shopkeeper dressed in period clothing and penny candy that pays homage to Ephraim's rich pioneer heritage.

3:30 PM  Make your way to Koepsel's Farm Market located in Baileys Harbor. A "must stop" for Door County visitors since 1958, Koepsel's is the area's oldest farm market where you will find a variety of local goods including jam, jelly, fruit butter, smoked fish, cheese, canned goods, antiques, and souvenirs.

4:00 PM  Check into the hotel for some R&R. 

6:00 PM  Make your way to Sister Bay Bowl, one of the oldest restaurants in Door County known for offering a classic American supper club experience. Choose from nightly specials that include prime rib on Monday, corned beef and cabbage on Wednesday, and Perch on Friday or order off the menu from a selection of standard supper club fare. After dinner, relax and have some fun with friends as you bowl the night away on the vintage, six-lane bowling alley built in 1958.


Day 2

10:00 AM  Tour The Farm located just north of Sturgeon Bay where you will discover a living museum of rural America complete with a milkhouse, stable, garden, and grainery. Feed goats, observe newly hatched chicks, pet mini horses, walk the nature trails, have a picnic, and more. 

12:00 PM  Break for lunch at Stone Harbor Pub & Restaurant located on the picturesque Sturgeon Bay waterfront. Dine indoors overlooking the water or enjoy your lunch outside on the sprawling patio adjacent to the marina. Choose from a selection of homemade soup, salad, and hearty sandwiches sure to satisfy all appetites.

2:00 PM  Enjoy a leisurely stroll as you browse the historic downtown Sturgeon Bay shopping district. Home to an array of boutiques, galleries, and specialty shops, you'll be sure to find the perfect gift for friends and family along with a special souvenir for yourself.

4:00 PM  Enjoy some R&R at the hotel.

6:00 PM  Indulge in a gourmet meal at Galileo's Italian Steakhouse & Bar where you will find a variety of Italian-inspired dishes, choice steaks cooked to perfection, scrumptious seafood, and more!

8:00 PM  Spend the night amidst the art and culture of Door County by attending a play or concert. If you prefer the classics, then Door Shakespeare is sure to please. Nestled within the natural beauty of a garden, Door Shakespeare brings you an intimate, entertaining evening of classic theatre that's appropriate for all ages. If classical music is what you seek, then attend a Midsummer’s Music Festival performance by world class musicians in outstanding venues throughout Door County. 


Day 3

8:00 AM  Devour a homemade breakfast at the Village Cafe located on the north side of Egg Harbor. From eggs benedict to traditional omelettes, pancakes, and quiche— the Village Cafe is sure to appease your appetite and start your day with a smile!

9:30 AM  Visit the Wisconsin Motorcycle Memorial, a true dedication to one of America's most genuine past times located on Matthey Road just north of Sturgeon Bay. 

10:00 AM  Make one final stop before heading home at the Belgian Heritage Center. Tour roadside chapels, visit the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, Namur National Historic District, enjoy a traditional Belgian style lunch, and more.
