Community Input Requested For Tourism Strategic Planning Process

Sept. 14, 2022 – Destination Door County (DDC) is requesting stakeholder and community input that will help the county’s tourism marketing and management organization prioritize their strategic plan for 2023 and beyond.

An online survey is available now through Friday September 30th and provides anyone interested with the opportunity to share their thoughts and feedback with DDC as they work through the survey. The online survey can be found here:

DDC is seeking input from a wide variety of stakeholders in the community including partners, business owners, innkeepers, community business associations, non-profit organizations, government officials, residents, and anyone else that would like to provide feedback or ideas.

“As a community shared values organization, getting input from local stakeholders and community members is an important part of our planning process,” said Julie Gilbert, President/CEO of DDC. “We appreciate people’s willingness to share their feedback with us.”

DDC will incorporate the survey results and other industry research, along with input from a new joint strategic planning committee made up of DDC board members and Door County Tourism Zone representatives, as the organization works through the strategic planning process over the next two months. When approved by the organization’s board of directors and the Door County Tourism Zone Commission, the updated strategic plan will lay out the program of work for the county’s tourism marketing and management organization for the next three years.
