Wizardry and Wonder: The Music of John Williams Tuesday, August 11, 2026 7:30 PM 9:30 PM The Peninsula Music Festival presents Wizardry and Wonder, a grand tribute to legendary film composer John Williams, on Tuesday, August 11, at 7:30 PM at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek. The evening is led by guest conductor Bob Bernhardt, a pops specialist and frequent collaborator with the Boston Pops who made his Boston Pops debut at the personal invitation of John Williams. The first half of the program explores the emotional depth of Williams iconic scores for films such as Schindlers List, Lincoln, War Horse, and The Book Thief, along with his triumphant Olympic Spirit and the recognizable NBC News theme. The second half of the concert transforms the theater into the wizarding world with an extensive musical suite from the first three Harry Potter films. This performance offers a rare opportunity to hear these complex, multi-layered cinematic scores performed live by a full symphony orchestra. This performance is one of nine unique concerts taking place at the Door Community Auditorium in Fish Creek from August 4 through August 22, 2026. The Peninsula Music Festival is Door Countys International Philharmonic Orchestra, led by world-renowned Music Director Rune Bergmann. These concerts bring together an international symphony orchestra in a powerful, immersive experience featuring world-class soloists, massive symphonies, and elite choral ensembles.
