Winners Announced in First Annual “Art in the Door” Contest

Door County, WI – June 16, 2023 –Destination Door County (DDC) is excited to announce the four winners in the first annual “Art in the Door” contest.

The top four artists are Pamela Schmitz, Mac Schueppert, Linda Welch, and Brian Pier.

Over 5,000 votes were cast by the public to choose the four winners.  

Each artist will receive $2,000, a feature in DDC’s “Art in the Door” video series, and their piece featured in DDC’s national Door County marketing campaigns.

The contest which launched in March asked local artists to create 2D artwork highlighting the beauty and feeling that Door County evokes.

“We are in awe of the artwork that was submitted in this contest,” said Julie Gilbert, President/CEO of Destination Door County. “The team at DDC is very excited to take the amazing artwork done by the four winners and incorporate it into our national marketing.”
