Door County Garden Wedding Inspiration
Few things are more romantic than a garden wedding. With nature as your backdrop, you save on costly decorations while wowing your guests. Briggsville Gardens is the largest outdoor botanical garden in Door County (located near Sturgeon Bay), and it is one of the only venues to provide a location for your wedding, reception, and champagne reception all in different parts. Open year-round, they also have a bed and breakfast tucked inside the garden which includes a ground floor room (perfect for any relative who needs handicap accessibility), and a two story honeymoon suite that's a great on-location get-away at the end of the night.
Whether your looking for an over the top elegant look or a relaxed mood for your Door County wedding, Briggsville Gardens is a great location and ready for you to make it your own. They offer on-site electricity, plenty of parking (enough for 75 cars), multiple ceremony sites, and allow you to set up on a Thursday and tear down on a Monday, so you have the area for the whole weekend! And since they only book one wedding a weekend, you'll get the ultimate wedding weekend experience!
What you will need to consider is: porta potties, catering, tent and chair rentals, and there is no indoor option if it rains (but a covered tent should do the trick if needed). They have something flowering all year long, and they tell me that summer and fall are very popular, but spring is also a nice time —and winter is very pretty with all the snow covering the trees and bushes (and since they have electricity, you may be able to pull off a cozy tent wedding). Here are a few photos from the garden which I visited this week.
