Oh the places you will go in Door County. With the summer season comes dizzying array of things to see and do, places to see and be seen. Why not do it all in style?
What to wear? Over the years, I‘ve learned a few lessons about what is really “Door County Casual.” And what is not.
So, we’ll take a look at appropriate garb for many Door County occasions, with some expert help from local apparel retailers.
A wedding, whether it’s casual outdoors or country club formal. An evening at the theater. Dinner at the supper club or the local tavern. Gallery browsing. Festival days and nights. We will cover it all. As to what you might want to be covered in.
Festivals happen in Door County all year round, and in summer they’re at a fever pitch. You can listen to music, stroll through an art fair, watch fireworks, and find plenty of treats to eat and drink. So pick a festive outfit! And be comfortable. And look cute.

We asked the Patricia Shoppe in Egg Harbor to create outfits for two types of weddings: a dressy country club/hotel event, and a more casual garden/barn celebration.
Notice the same shoes go to the fancy wedding and the casual one. Proving once again that a girl can never go wrong with a cute pair of red pumps!
