Luckily, the beaches of Door County are numerous and diverse, and can be found along both the east and west shorelines. Each one offers something new and unique; there’s rolling dunes and natural landscapes, shallow bays and rocky shores. Nicolet Bay Beach

Nicolet Bay Beach is located within Peninsula State Park and is a favorite spot for campers and park visitors. With a nearby snack bar, camp store, and bike and boat rentals, the amenities make this beach an all-day destination.

Ridges Beach

Located in Baileys Harbor, Ridges Beach offers shallow waters and sandbars for families to enjoy, and it is also one of the best places to kiteboard when the waves and wind create the right conditions.

Sister Bay Beach

The largest beach and beachfront park in Door County can be found in Sister Bay. It's a favorite place for swimming, sunbathing, water activities and, at the end of the day, watching the sunset.

Newport State Park

Located in northern Newport State Park, Newport Beach is a naturally managed beach that gives visitors 11 miles of Lake Michigan water access.

Ephraim Beach

Eagle Harbor and the bluffs of Peninsula State Park are iconic landscapes in Door County, and Ephraim Beach is at the center of it all. This sandy beach is close to it all but feels like a private island getaway.

Schoolhouse Beach

One of the most unique beaches in Door County is Schoolhouse Beach on Washington Island. The shoreline of the bay is made up of smooth stones from the centuries of water tumbling them to soften the edges, allowing visitors to swim and sunbathe.

Sand Bay Beach

Sand Bay Beach is a northern beach on the Door County peninsula that is beautiful and ideal for families and vacationers seeking a spot to play in the water and soak in the sun.

Egg Harbor Beach

Located in a protected harbor, the Egg Harbor Beach is usually a calm and convenient place to spend a sunny day. Near the village of Egg Harbor, vacationers can easily spend time on the shoreline and be near the great food, shopping, and lodging throughout the area.

Whitefish Dunes

Picnic and spend the day on the long stretch of beach located within Whitefish Dunes State Park. The dunes are always shaping the shoreline, making for a great place to take a long walk on the beach.
