The warm summer days have finally arrived in Door County. The festival season is here, offering people many opportunities to celebrate all things Door County with their family and friends. Here are the big events you need to plan for now.
Martin Park, Sturgeon Bay
Featuring a variety of local bands, food including varieties of side pork, entertainment zones for adults, and the Hog Wild Run (5k, 10k, and kids run).
Throughout Door County
Visit all 11 historic Door County lighthouses with boat excursions and guided land-based tours. Visitors get access to lighthouses that aren’t typically open to the public, including Chambers Island, Plum Island and Sherwood Point lighthouses.
Al Johnson’s, Sister Bay
Watch as Al Johnson’s crew parades their goats down the road to put them on the roof for the first time this season. Featuring live music, fun kids games, Swedish pancake eating contest, goat drop contest, and food and beverages.
Throughout Sturgeon Bay
More than 100 original artists converge upon Sturgeon Bay for performances celebrating original music and collaborative songwriting.
Brann Field, Baileys Harbor
A celebration of craft beer, culinary artisans, and live music on the shores of Baileys Harbor. Meet Wisconsin’s leading brewers, Door County’s top chefs, and enjoy beers from more than 50 different Midwest breweries.
Throughout Baileys Harbor
Tour the scenic back roads of Door County and take in breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. Enjoy a post-ride meal from local chefs, live music, and Door County Brewing Co. brews at the finish. Ride finishes at the Door County Beer Festival. 25, 50, 62, and 100-mile route options.
Welcome the arrival of summer with artists, food, musical entertainment and family activities along the picturesque shoreline of Eagle Harbor. Stroll through the village and visit Ephraim’s iconic landmarks, shops, galleries and restaurants, and finish the day with fireworks and bonfires on he Ephraim shore
Wickman House, Ellison Bay
Kick off summer with great food, drinks, music and lots of fun at the fifth annual Uncork Summer. Enjoy small-plate, gourmet dishes from restaurants throughout Door County, as well as samplings from local markets, wineries, and distilleries. Well-known local acoustic musicians perform live throughout the day.
Independence Day celebrations are a busy time of year in the county. With many people visiting, Door County towns pull out all of the stops. There is something for everyone, no matter where on the county you are staying. Here is a list of places that hold Fourth of July celebrations and what you can expect at each.
Start the celebrations early with an Independence Day Cookout on Rock Island. Food and merchandise are available for purchase, and a silent auction will be held to help raise funds for park projects. Details>>
Egg Harbor starts day one of their celebrations with food and refreshments and live music. Fireworks are set to start at dusk. The beach closes at 2 pm for fireworks setup.
The county bustles with activity on Independence Day. There are parades, food, and fireworks throughout the day.
Baileys Harbor starts off their day with a pancake breakfast at the fire station. The town hall is home to an arts and crafts fair all day as well as a food court where visitors can buy an assortment of food and drink. The parade starts at 10 am and is followed by live music and fun activities throughout town, with a fireworks display at dusk. Details>>
Egg Harbor starts day two of celebrating with a parade at 1:30 pm. A performance by the UW-Madison Marching Band follows the parade at Harbor View Park. Details>>
Spend the evening in Sturgeon Bay at Sunset Park enjoying food, an ice cream social, and live music. Enjoy fun play areas with the family before the fireworks display starts at dusk. Details>>

Gills Rock offers a variety of food and beverages with music starting at 6pm. Find your spot and enjoy the evening before the boat regatta starts at 7pm, with the fireworks at dusk. Details>>
If you are staying in the Southern Door area, Maplewood offers a fireworks display. Make sure to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the show, which starts at dusk.
Fish Creek extends the celebration. Enjoy live music, food and drinks, before heading to Clark Park and watching a fireworks display at dusk. Details>>

Celebrating ethnic folk dancing and music from many countries. Featuring dance and music workshops, parties, concerts, a children's program, fish boil dinner and much more.
Brussels Town Park
July 14 -15
A day of excitement and fun for all ages. Featuring a Big Dawg baseball tournament, coed volleyball tournament, Cooyah Card tournament, live music, a parade, food and beverages, and 1, 2, and 4 mile walk/run. $2 raffle ticket to enter grounds. All profits go to charitable causes.
Throughout Door County
A combination of free and ticketed events. Explore Door County and find artists around as they paint some of their favorite scenes in the county. Artists have 6 days to paint. Featuring a collector's preview party and Gala Auction.
Celebrating with a parade, craft fair, music, food, pie eating contest, doggie contest, cherry stomp, free waterslides, pet psychic readings and more fun for the whole family.
Rowleys Bay Resort, Ellison Bay
On-water classes for all skill levels, on-land workshops, brown bag lunch seminars, paddle tours, naturalist-led paddles and youth programs.
Downtown Sturgeon Bay
Take advantage of great bargains and discover unique finds including art, textiles, and more during this citywide event! Third Avenue will be closed to traffic — stop by for food, beverages, and entertainment.
