Everyone has a different idea of the perfect getaway. A restful, relaxing weekend away with your spouse. An action-packed camping trip with friends. An extended summer vacation with the family. No matter what you look for in your trip, Door County has just what you need, with beautiful views and delicious cuisine to boot.
See what’s in store for you no matter your speed.
For go-with-the-flow guests:
Take in the area’s unforgettable scenery with a stroll along the lakefront, on a tour, or while dining at one of our restaurants with a view. Stop by a winery to sample some of the area’s delicious flavors and see the beautiful blossoms. Afterwards, stop in a few shops for locally made jams, fudge, and artwork. Need even more relaxation? Book a massage at a spa and rest your eyes for the night at your B&B.
For those who want to see and do it all, you’d better hit the ground running, or paddling, with a morning kayak, canoe, or paddleboard excursion. Refuel with a home-packed picnic in the park before hitting the trails on your bike. Refresh with a dip in the lake and get ready for a night of fun starting with a traditional Door County fish boil. If you’re still looking for something to do, visit one of our local taverns or pubs for a nightcap with friends.
Let your kids run, play, and swim on a day trip to the beach and enjoy all kinds of water activities. Then towel off and cool down with a stop at one of the County’s local ice cream or gelato shops. If you still have room for dinner, take the family to one of our family-friendly restaurants and soak in the remaining sunlight with a walk along a marina.
Come enjoy the County at your pace.
