April & May Events in Door County
It’s time to start packing away your winter gear and breaking out the shorts and sunscreen. April and May really kick off festival season on the peninsula. De-clutter, spring clean, and join a rummage sale, enjoy fun family programming, brush off the hibernation of winter and lace up your shoes for one of the many runs throughout the county. Or break out the fishing pole you have stored away and see if you can catch the big one. Early summer in the county has endless possibilities as everyone preps for the busy season. So get out and enjoy the sunshine!
Ellison Bay Easter Egg Hunt
Fitzgerald Park, Ellison Bay
April 20
Children ages 2–12 are invited to join in the hunt. Children over 12 years old can volunteer to help hide the colorful plastic "Easter eggs" containing small toys and sweets. Free.
Jacksonport Easter Egg Hunt
Lakeside Park, Jacksonport

Children are welcome to visit Lakeside Park and search for eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny.
Sister Bay Easter Egg Hunt
Waterfront Park, Sister Bay
April 20
Children will hunt for colored eggs, according to age group. As in years past, there will be an appearance from the Easter Bunny. The library will have a table set up for kids to do crafts after the egg hunt. The Easter Bunny may even come check out those crafts.

Baileys Harbor Brown Trout Tournament

Over $8,000 in cash and prizes is up for grabs paying out to the Top 40 fish. Grab your buddies and your cold weather gear and head out on the Big Lake for the first open water fishing tournament of the year. $25/person. Free/15 & under.
Every Day is Earth Day Festival

A three-day celebration of the people, organizations and businesses that respect, preserve and protect our Green earth-care culture in Door County and beyond. A weekend of resource exchange, an environmentally focused open house, speakers, demonstrations, films, and activities for kids and adults.

See the inner workings of Bay Shipbuilding and Centerpointe Yacht Service during a guided walking tour. The USCG cutter Mobile Bay will be open for free guided tours. Proceeds benefit Door County Rotary Youth Interact. $12/adult. $6/student age 11–17. Free/age 10 & under.
