Spring is here, which means the Door County events calendar is filling up with great things to do inside and out every weekend. Here’s a sneak preview of the biggest highlights on the calendar in the weeks to come!
April 8 - June 4
A celebration of spring in Door County. As the peninsula's natural splendor comes to life, so do local lodging establishments, galleries, and restaurants with special packages to welcome you. Special events include self-guided tours, community celebrations with arts and crafts, food and music. Get your guide to spring blossoms.
April 20 - 23
The 29th Annual Tourney offers more than $7,000 in prizes. Entries are just $25. The top 40 fish caught in Door County or Kewaunee waters receive cash prizes. Get out for this early season fishing to chase those monster browns. Tickets will be on sale starting April 1.
April 21 - 23
Grab your best girlfriends for some serious relaxation and rejuvenation in Sturgeon Bay. Don’t forget the live entertainment, shopping, dining events, and much more.
This is your one chance every year to tour Bay Shipbuilding and CenterPointe Yacht Services with guided and semi-guided walking tours. See the massive lakers up close in one of the most active shipyards on the Great Lakes.
Peninsula State Park
Held annually the first Saturday in May, the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k in Peninsula State Park has earned a reputation as one of the best half marathons in the Midwest. The race attracts more than 2,700 participants who flood northern Door shops, restaurants and taverns as many businesses open their doors for the season.
A five-mile and two-mile run on Whitecliff Road in Egg Harbor to benefit the Door County Y.
May 18 - 21
This women’s getaway weekend is held in Egg Harbor. Known for its specialty women’s clothing boutiques and seasonal charm, your weekend in Egg Harbor can be filled with workshops, fitness classes, wine tastings, cooking classes, shopping, and a wonderful weekend with friends.
May 19 - 21
The first of two Sturgeon Bay bass tournaments (the other is the weekend after labor day). Fish in the waters surrounding Sturgeon Bay with world class smallmouth bass fishing. Limited to 200 2-person teams.
May 20 - 21
Celebrate the Blessing of the Fleet on two days packed with activities in Baileys Harbor. Tour the Baileys Harbor Range Lights, enjoy an arts and crafts fair, stock up at the farmer's market, and enjoy the annual Scottie Dog Rally through town.
The blessing of the fleet ceremony takes place at the marina at noon, followed by music and food throughout the afternoon! Learn about the fisheries with presentations from longtime fishermen Dennis Hickey and Charlie Henriksen, plus author Trygvie Jensen.
May 20 -21
Pair handmade pottery containers with spring blooms: Enjoy birdbaths, birdhouses and information on bird watching, newly crafted fashion looks, great food and fresh home furnishings. And don’t miss demonstrations, studio tours and guest artists.
May 25 - 28
Learn about the flora and fauna of the Door with several days of tours, paddles, hikes, lectures, and educational sessions from local and regional experts. Visit some of the peninsula’s most revered landscapes.
May 27 - 28
Enjoy an arts and crafts fair, horse pull, parade, great food and music, and the annual Maifest Run!

Browse more than 100 artists, crafters, and exhibitors on the picturesque waterfront of Sunset Park. Enjoy live music and kids entertainment and activities as you stroll the grounds, plus food and beverages.
