The cabin is situated on our original family farmstead. It features the hand hewn cedar log construction throughout the interior, with exposed log and beam construction. Open log, beam and rafter construction is featured in the two bedrooms lending coziness unique to our historic family home. A queen futon is located in the living room. Relax after dinner on the front porch rockers enjoying the serenity, or catching up on a good book.
Grandma’s pride and joy, the antique 1800’s cookstove generations of the Millers learned to master, still stands as a working part of the home. The cooktop has been converted to electric during its recent restoration. The kitchen’s cookstove is complimented with an in-wall convection/conventional wall oven, microwave, and full sized refrigerator with icemaker. Many original features of the home were retained during the restoration so the warmth and coziness of the home remains. Modern day amenities of satellite TV, a CD/DVD player and gas fireplace add creature comforts we have come to expect. We are sure our Grandparents would have appreciated the modern amenities added to the home that are things many of us take for granted.
Carl’s house at the farm site opening July 2015 is Gust’s sons’ family home built of native timber in the mid-1950’s by Charles Tishler builders. The completely renovated home sleeps up to 10, has a bath and a half, full kitchen, gas fireplace and similar amenities to Gustave’s cabin, including a full front porch plus 4 season breezeway. Both locations feature complimentary WIFI.

The lush green of our estates’ forests adjoining the cabin give way to spectacular fall colors you won’t want to miss. Be sure to bring your camera to preserve your special moments.
