Destination Door County to Host Personal Care & Cleaning Supply Drive

November 20, 2023 – Door County, WI. For over a decade, Destination Door County and its tourism partners have come together during the holiday season to support the community. Locations throughout Door County are collecting personal care & cleaning supply items to support United Way of Door County. This year’s ‘Door County Cares’ drive runs Friday, November 24, 2023 through Monday, January 7, 2024. All items donated will stay in Door County and be distributed through United Way’s community partners.

“Personal care items & cleaning supplies are not covered by FoodShare and are often in high demand throughout the community. This drive will help to ensure that that all have access to these essentials during the holiday season and we’re thrilled to support United Way of Door County in this way,” shares Morgan Rusnak, DDC’s Community Engagement Manager.

Items being collected include:

• Shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion; hand soap & sanitizer; band-aids & small first aid kits; baby care items: shampoo, wash & lotion; deodorant & lip balm; razors & shave gel; toothbrushes & toothpaste; dental floss & mouthwash; tampons & sanitary pads; laundry detergent & dryer sheets; dish soap, sponges & scrub pads; household cleaning supplies; adult incontinence products; toilet paper, paper towel & facial tissue

A container will be located at participating locations for donors to drop off new personal care & cleaning supplies. All collected items will be distributed back to Door County residents and can be dropped off at the following locations:
