Destination Door County Presents CIF Grant Award to Door County Land Trust

October 18, 2023 – Door County, WI. Destination Door County President/CEO Julie Gilbert presented a check for $75,000 to the Door County Land Trust on October 17, 2023, for a Community Investment Fund grant award the local non-profit received to help construct a new trail bridge at their Bay Shore Blufflands Nature Preserve.  Pictured from left are Emily Wood, Executive Director of the Door County Land Trust, and Julie Gilbert, President/CEO of Destination Door County.

Destination Door County’s Community Investment Fund uses a portion of the room tax dollars paid by overnight visitors and reinvests those dollars to support local projects that enhance our community and improve the quality of life for people who live and work in Door County. Funded projects include public park expansion, historic preservation, enhanced hiking and biking trails and public park improvements.
