Door County Public Beaches
Door County's shoreline offers plenty of public beaches, including Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Baileys Harbor, Jacksonport, Sturgeon Bay and Washington Island. Swimming beaches also are located in Peninsula State Park, Potawatomi State Park, Newport State Park, Whitefish Dunes State Park and Rock Island State Park.
Sturgeon Bay Beaches
Otumba Park-driving north on Hwy 42/57, take the Business 42/57 exit just past the stoplight. Before the downtown bridge, turn left on Larch Street by the Bridgeport Resort, then turn right on South Lansing Avenue and follow this road to Otumba Park.
Sunset Park-driving north on Hwy 42/57, take the Business 42/57 exit just past the stoplight. Follow Business 42/57 across the downtown bridge. Take the first left after the bridge onto First Avenue. Stay on First Avenue until it runs into Third Avenue, and take a left onto Third Avenue heading north. Watch for signs to Sunset Park on the left side of the road.
Jacksonport Beaches
Whitefish Dunes State Park-from Hwy 57, follow County WD (Clarks Lake Road) east to the entrance of Whitefish Dunes State Park.
Clarks Lake Beach-follow County WD (Clarks Lake Road) east; take a left on Park Road and follow road to beach area.
Lakeside Park-located off of Hwy 57 in downtown Jacksonport.
Baileys Harbor Beaches
Anclam Park-located off of Hwy 57 in the south end of Baileys Harbor near the Square Rigger Harbor motel.
Baileys Harbor Ridges-from Hwy 57 turn onto Ridges Road by the Sandpiper Restaurant. Follow Ridges Road to beach area.
Egg Harbor Beaches
Murphy Park-located on County G south of Egg Harbor near Horseshoe Bay Farms.
Egg Harbor Beach-off of County G; just north of the Alpine Resort.
Fish Creek Beaches
Fish Creek Beach-located on the west side of Hwy 42 in the heart of Fish Creek.
Nicolet Bay Beach--located in Peninsula State Park; main Park entrance off of Hwy 42 in Fish Creek.
Ephraim Beach
Ephraim Village Beach-located right off of Hwy 42 in the south end of Ephraim.
Sister Bay Beach
Sister Bay Park-located on the west side of Hwy 42 in downtown Sister Bay.
Ellison Bay Beaches
Ellison Bay Beach-located in the south end of Ellison Bay on the west side of Hwy 42; at the bottom of the hill.
Newport State Park-from Hwy 42, turn onto County NP (Newport Drive) and follow signs to Newport State Park.
Washington Island Beaches
Jackson Harbor Ridges-beach for swimming available.
Percy Johnson Memorial County Park-from the ferry dock take Lobdell Point Road to Airport Road. Take a left onto Airport Road and then a right onto Lakeview Road. Follow Lakeview Road to Percy Johnson Memorial County Park.
Schoolhouse Beach located in Washington Harbor-from the ferry dock take Lobdell Point Road to Main Road. Take a left continuing on Main Road and then a right onto Jackson Harbor Road. Follow Jackson Harbor Road to Cemetery Road entrance. Turn left at School House Beach entrance.
Sand Dunes Beach-from the ferry dock take Lobdell Point Road (turns into Detroit Harbor Road). Take a right onto Rangeline Road (this turns into South Shore Drive). Follow South Shore Drive to Sand Dunes Beach.
Rock Island Beach
Swimming beach on the south shore of the island. Follow trail signs on the island.
