The 11th annual corn maze at Schopf's HIlltop Dairy celebrates the town of Egg Harbor's 150th anniversary in 2011. A special design was cut into the 30-acre corn maze that includes a salute to the town of Egg Harbor's sesquicentennial. The corn maze is open daily to the public (there is an admission fee) through October.

Door County Distillery (attraction/culinary/tours) – 5806 Hwy 42, Carlsville

Door County’s first distillery will initially produce vodka and Door County cherry vodka, followed by other spirits, possibly brandy and gin. The facility will feature a tasting room and regular tours will be available. The new Door County Distillery is owned by and will be located at the Door Peninsula Winery, Door County’s oldest winery and the largest single producer of wine in Wisconsin. The new $2 million, 6,500 square foot distillery addition will add to the growing Door Peninsula Winery complex located along Hwy 42 in Carlsville.

Door County Coastal Byway (attraction/tour) – Hwys 42 & 57 in the northern two-thirds of Door County
The third in the state to receive the Wisconsin Scenic Byway official route designation, the new Door County Coastal Byway runs along the peninsula’s east and west coasts and includes the northernmost sections of state highways 42 and 57. This scenic 66 mile long route forms a loop around the northern two-thirds of Door County. Travelers begin at the southern junction of the two highways just north of Sturgeon Bay and drive up one side of the county to the tip of the peninsula and back down the other side to complete the loop. The route follows two lane roads and connects many of Door County’s quaint waterfront and inland communities along with lighthouses, three state parks and a variety of picturesque vistas.

Adventure ZipLine Tour (attraction/activity) – 4497 Ploor Road, Sturgeon Bay

Door County’s first Adventure Zipline Tour. This zipline is three ziplines in one circuit. Participants start by climbing to a staging platform at 30 feet. From there they will ride a 500’ zipline to the second staging platform. From there they will ride the second zipline of 750’ to the final staging platform where they will have a descending 250’ zipline back to the ground. The zipline is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Saturdays and is located at the Team Leadership Center, 4497 Ploor Road near Sturgeon Bay.

Sister Bay Waterfront Park Expansion (park/attraction) – Hwy 42, Sister Bay
The northern Door County village of Sister Bay continues the expansion of their downtown waterfront park. They most recently (late fall 2010) purchased the piece of property directly across the street from Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant and over the winter have torn down the buildings that were on that waterfront parcel and are in the process landscaping this spring. The new parcel links the existing village marina to the existing waterfront beach park. The resulting expanded waterfront park now runs along the shore for 1,936 continuous feet in the heart of downtown Sister Bay and offers a variety of activities including a swimming pier, sand beach, kayak rentals, sailboat and scenic boat rides, personal watercraft, boat and sailboat rentals, a marina and boat launch, a summer concert series and more.

New in 2011 - four different tours in and around Sturgeon Bay have been added to the lineup of Segway The Door Tours, which has offered tours in northern Door County since 2005. Sturgeon Bay tours include a historic downtown tour, a shipwreck tour, an everything Sturgeon Bay tour and a crossroads tour that has an emphasis on nature.
