FROMMER’S USA – 11th edition Door County is featured in the 11th edition of the popular Frommer’s USA travel guide in the Wisconsin section of the book on pages 520-521. THE GREAT TOWNS OF AMERICA – Second Edition The city of Sturgeon Bay, along with several locations throughout Door County, were included in this “guide to the 100 best getaways for a vacation or a lifetime.” Sturgeon Bay competed with all cities and towns in the United States with a population of less than 80,000 people. From 221 semi-finalists, 100 communities were selected that most successfully combine scenic grandeur and memorable leisure-time features. The Sturgeon Bay feature can be found on pages 561-567.
