Planning Calendar for Your Door County Reunion

It’s hard enough gathering together a few friends or family for a holiday. Putting this reunion together will require some serious planning. But once people hear it’s in Door County, you won’t even have to nag them to RSVP. In other words, expect big numbers.

We’ve put together a monthly to-do list that you can download and print out. Check off items as you complete them and jot down your notes. Or send us an email and we’ll simplify things even further. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

9-12 Months Before:

Select the dates and duration for your reunion
Make sure you choose a back-up date as well. If it’s a major holiday or festival, you may not be able to book at the price you want. Also, don’t limit yourself to summer. Door County is year-round beautiful and you can often get better rates between November and April.

Determine the number of people and how many rooms you’ll need
Some hotels will reserve a block of rooms for your group for a limited time period.

Select a "home base" community
Even though the communities in Door County are just minutes from each other, each one has its own vibe. Learn about them on our Communities Page and pick the one that sounds right for your group.

Choose the type of lodging that fits
From a group of rustic cabins on a sandy beach to modern condos with indoor pools, we have lodging to match the personality of your group. We also have lodging for those with special needs such as wheelchair accessibility and pet companions.

Send a Door County e-Postcard
It’s time to tease. Show your group what they have to look forward to and invite them to begin exploring our website for ideas.

Plan group activities
Taking a charter boat to a remote, abandoned lighthouse. Kayaking over a sunken ship. Touring one of our many wineries. Whatever your group is into, make sure to book some activities for your event.

2-3 months before:
