At a quick glance, it doesn't take long to notice something very different about
this place - something very different about the land. For some, it's the
towering bluffs emerging steeply out of the deep Green Bay waters or gently
dipping beneath the surface of Lake Michigan. And, for others, the lush green
vegetation or abundant wildlife. No matter where you look, the Door County
Peninsula and Washington Island has something special to share - something
special to discover. A lot has happened to create such an interesting place and
we invite you to explore "Beyond the Door."
