America's Best Bass Fisheries

Sturgeon Bay was named the top spot in Bassmaster's 2014 annual rankings of America's best bass fisheries. For this ranking, Sturgeon Bay was considered the bay of Green Bay from Little Sturgeon to Fish Creek, a good portion of Door County's western coast, and topped the list of the 100 best bass lakes.

Best Small Towns in America

Door County was named one of the 10 Best Small Towns in America by Fodor's, who said in releasing their 2013 list that editors pored over the possibilities, ultimately picking the winners with draws like great local eats, interesting museums and cultural points and noteworthy natural attractions or outdoor adventures.
