Performing Arts

Just as inspiring as the landscape, Door County’s performing arts scene will leave you with a story to tell. Nearly a dozen organizations call Door County home as they fill venues all over the peninsula. The Peninsula Players and The Clearing are celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2010. During the summer and fall months, sounds of music and live theater fill the air, attracting audiences of all ages. Free community concerts are hosted by the villages of Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Sister Bay, Sturgeon Bay and the Door County Maritime Museum. Spread a blanket or unfold a lawn chair as the sound of music fills the summer sky. For those who love the performing arts, Door County offers more than can be seen in just one visit. So be sure you come back as often as you’d like to see all we have to offer.
