Peninsula School of Art and Peninsula Dance in Door County each offer an array of classes for artists of all ages and skill levels. Björklunden and The Clearing stimulate the mind and spirit with classes in historic, natural settings. Museums large and small bring the county's colorful heritage to life, from lighthouses to farm museums to maritime museums to informative signage about Door County's shipwrecks to the people themselves.

The Clearing is a folk school for adults founded in 1935 by renowned landscape architect & conservationist Jens Jensen. We offer classes year-round in the arts and fine crafts, humanities & natural sciences ranging from one-day workshops to week-long resident classes held in a quiet wooded setting on the waters of Green Bay. The Sturgeon Bay campus is a 60,000 square foot facility in beautiful Door County. NWTC's Sturgeon Bay campus also offers the Hotel and Restaurant Management associate degree program which is designed to make the most of its location in Door County, the Midwest's number one tourist destination. Students learn technical, management, financial, and other skills necessary to run a successful lodging, convention, or food service business. Lawrence University offers week-long seminars from early June to late October on its 425-acre estate in Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. Relaxed studies include art, music, religion, literature, history, and the nature of Door County. Participants may reside in the lodge on the shores of Lake Michigan or commute. The Inn at Kristofer's, located in scenic Sister Bay, Wisconsin, is a year-round fine dining restaurant. Located directly across from the Sister Bay marina and the waters of Green Bay, the Inn at Kristofer's features Midwestern dishes inspired by French culinary traditions. Chef and owner also teaches cooking classes in the restaurant's specially designed second floor cooking school. Classes are held year-round. Sievers School of Fiber Arts offers classes, May-October, in weaving, knitting, spinning, quilting, basketry, paper and book arts, feltmaking, beadwork, wearables, surface design and more. Professional teachers/fiber artists offer two- to seven-day classes in all levels. Dormitory facilities are available. The 1895-built schoolhouse is a good setting for the sale of original fine crafts handmade by students and teachers along with quality yarns and books. Open daily, mid-May through October.
